How do I reconcile a month in Meses?

To reconcile a month in Meses, choose the property and month, add your expected-payment records and the bank statement for that same month, start the reconciliation and review the results. Meses proposes who each deposit belongs to; you confirm anything uncertain and, if you want, update your Google Sheet with verified changes.

1. Choose a property and month

  • Select “+ Reconcile a month” in the sidebar.
  • Choose the property and month you want to reconcile, then continue.
  • Each reconciliation is saved for that property and month, so you can come back to it later from the history.

2. Add the two required sources

  • Add the resident and expected-payment records from Google Sheets or an uploaded file. If they are not ready yet, see how to prepare your records.
  • Then add the bank statement PDF for the same month.
  • You can also add payment receipts as optional supporting evidence.
  • Check that both required sources are ready before continuing.

3. Run the reconciliation

  • Meses finds your records, reads the statement deposits, compares payments and saves the results.
  • You see the real processing stages while it runs.
  • If Meses cannot validate a source or the statement is for a different month, follow the recovery instructions shown on screen before retrying.

4. Review and resolve payments

  • Review the results by status: matched, suggested and needs review.
  • Open suggested or unresolved payments to check the date, amount, reference and evidence.
  • Confirm a suggestion, assign a resident with balanced allocations, or classify other income when appropriate.
  • Manual decisions are saved separately from automatic matches. More in understanding results.

5. Optionally update Google Sheets

  • When you are ready, use the sheet update action to review the proposed changes.
  • Select the ready changes you want to apply.
  • Meses confirms each change was written correctly; unresolved items or items without a clear place in your sheet stay out of the plan.
